Acting Up! participants don’t need to be a ‘star’ or even have any prior acting experience! Sessions are run at a pace to suit those taking part and are led by practitioners who are experienced in working with young people with additional needs or disabilities.
Autumn and Spring are skills terms, which often end with a sharing of work for an invited audience. The Summer is our production term. This gives participants the chance to experience a full, group devised production with a performance run at Friargate Theatre: our professional studio theatre and home to Riding Lights Theatre Company. Whichever term you join us for, you can be sure that you’ll finish the term having had a great time with a whole range of new theatre skills under your belt!
