Story
It’s been a year since the world was shocked by the pictures of Alan Kurdi, the drowned Syrian boy whose body was found on a beach in Turkey, who came to encapsulate the devastating human toll of the refugee crisis. The deepening refugee crisis was a situation that simply couldn’t be ignored.
We work along the whole route that refugees take. We work in the countries they are fleeing –countries like Syria, where brutal war has ripped apart the lives of millions, as well as Nigeria and Iraq.
We work in “transit countries” such as Serbia, ensuring that children are protected from abuse and exploitation. We’re there for the increasing numbers of children stuck in limbo in Greece and Italy.
And we work in countries like Germany and the UK, to make sure that children understand their rights and have access to the care and support they need.
Your support really does make a difference. On behalf of the vulnerable children you’re helping, THANK YOU.
