Story

We wish to save as many lives as possible in Syria. Our partner org on the ground - The Kurdish Red Crescent (Heyva Sor a Kurd) treated over 100,000 casualties in 8 different locations around Syria, in 2016 alone.

We bought and equipped the first ambulance in January 2017, and now wish to get the 2nd on the road asap. Please help us achieve this by supporting our campaign today.

DJ Calvin James is co-founder of the SCOOP foundation and the Syrias Vibes campaign. He spent 6 months living in Qamishli between February and July 2016, after witnessing the horrific pics on tv. He drove the ambulance and trained as a medic. He was 2 blocks away from a devastating 2 truck attack that killed 50 people and injured 180 more last July. What happened that day will stay with him for the rest of his life.

And now, as the Raqqa intensifies, and with the attacks around the country getting worse and even more horrific, we want to be ready with the 2nd brand new ambulance, plus new doctors and fresh medical equipment.

More on Calvin and Syrias Vibes...

Calvin is currently on his way back into Syria so he can offer more support and buy essential equipment and resources for his friends anf colleagues. He will also be sending back weekly videos reporting from inside the country. For more, follow us on Facebook and Twitter @syriasvibes or www.syriasvibes.com
