Story

Spitalfields is a place steeped in a rich and unsettling history, and the brooding presence of Hawksmoor’s church has inspired all kinds of mythologies. Some of which we hope to revive for 24 hours.

Tales from the Crypt will be an unforgettable evening and will include stories of times gone by in our neighbourhood by local story-tellers before lights out.

The doors will re-open at 7.00am and a breakfast will be served.

A Thanksgiving service to welcome the new day will be offered at 10.30am by the Bishop of Stepney, Adrian Newman.

We have just 50 places for this night and we're asking you to raise a minimum of £300 to take part.

All monies raised will go towards reaching our £50,000 target this year to help more people in recovery start work, training or education.
