Suicide remains the leading cause of death for men aged 14 to 44, and 80% of all suicides are men. Spur projects produces innovative mental health campaigns that will reduce the rate of suicide in Australia.

Story

You think that talking about how you’re feeling is challenging? Try not talking at all.

We’re throwing down the challenge: On June 13, go silent for 24, 48 or 72 hours - all to raise awareness and funds for men’s mental health and suicide prevention.

For you, starting a conversation might be an easy thing to do, but for lots of blokes, taking that step isn't always the easiest thing to do. Too many young blokes reach a point in their life where they think that taking their own life is a better easier than talking about how they’re feeling - and we think that needs to change.

Get Silent. Get Heard. is here to say (very loudly) that although starting a conversation might not be the easiest thing to do, staying silent is a lot harder.
