Visit the charity's profileSheffield Rape and Sexual Abuse Centre is an independent specialist sexual violence service supporting children and adult survivors who have experienced rape or sexual abuse at any time in their lives. We offer survivors:
A freephone Helpline - Trained volunteers provide a listening and support service. All calls are confidential and FREE.
Counselling Service - We offer free face to face counselling. Our fully qualified Counsellors offer a range of therapeutic interventions. Counselling is a safe space in which to explore your experiences and feelings in your own time and way.
Independent Sexual Violence Advisor (ISVA)Service - Our ISVAs provide a specialist service offering practical help and emotional support to clients who have been raped or sexually abused. They work with clients to explore their options in relation to reporting of the abuse. They also help clients to develop coping strategies.
We also have a specialist Children and Young Persons' ISVA (CYP ISVA) who works with children and their families. She provides support through the court process and helps families access other services if needed.
By donating to our appeal you are enabling more survivors to get these services and help them to overcome and start to recover from their experiences of abuse.
