Satya Samaj UK has provided Health camps for the past 15 years. Our last camp in 2014, we provided prosthetic limbs for both adults and children. We raised over £10,000 and provided prosthetic limbs for over 250 people which spanned over 7 days. This included giving an 8 year old young boy, who had never walked before, a new lease of life by providing him with two prosthetic limbs.
In November 2007 Satya Samaj UK conducted a Surgical camp. We raised £8000 and treated over 400 patients of which 154 were ENT patients, 138 eye patients and provided 80 hysterectomy surgeries.
Satya Samaj UK conducted a Medical camp in February 2006. We raised £7,000 and with the help of 8 specialist doctors, 1 pathologist, 12 nursing staff and 18 volunteers we managed to treat over 500 patients.
In March 2005 we conducted two Eye camps. We raised £5,000 and treated 350 patience of which 79 were cataract operation and 250 pre-scripted spectacles were supplied.
