St Margaret’s Hospice has been at the heart of Somerset’s community for over 40 years, delivering high quality, responsive and compassionate care to patients and their families facing a life-limiting illness.

Story

After being diagnosed with cancer, Jenny Winter became an avid fundraiser, taking part in numerous activities to raise money for charity. In 2015 she was cared for in St. Margaret’s Inpatient Unit in Taunton. While in the hospice, Jenny began to plan various fundraising activities in aid of St. Margaret’s to give thanks to the excellent standard of care she was receiving. On top of Jenny’s list was a wing walk. Sadly, Jenny passed away in the hospice in September 2015 while she was still in the planning stages.

Her husband John is now doing what Jenny was unable to do & will be taking part in a wing walk with friends, including staff from St. Margaret's, on 25th May 2016.

'Jenny's Angels' are hoping to raise £11,600 which will pay for a day of care in both our Taunton and Yeovil Inpatient Units.

Any amount you can give will help St. Margaret’s continue to make each day count for patients and their families facing a life-limiting illness across Somerset.
