Until recently sexual abuse, intimidation and violence in teenage intimate relationship were not recognised. We still see there is a huge gap in self-identification and support by extended professional networks, including education and health. Verbal intimidation, ‘name calling’ , and controlling behaviour are the beginning and wide spectrum of abuse before escalation to more violent incident of physical and sexual violence. What is new and additional challenge to this dynamics is also use of social media as a tool of abuse and control , especially feeling pressured and coerced to take part in Sexting . Often Teenagers AND their families are failing to identify controlling and intimidating behaviour by teenage boy or girl friends start of an abuse and often perpetrators of this type of abuse recourse to justification and victim blaming to avoid responsibility and change. �zmKP
