Streetwork has launched the Winter 2015 Appeal to provide support to people who will find themselves excluded, destitute and homeless this winter.

Last winter over 1000 individuals sought our support for bare necessities. Most did not know where they would sleep at night. The numbers are rising, winter is approaching and we need your help.

For over 23 years, Streetwork has been focused on a life off the street. 365 days a year, we are on the streets of Edinburgh, reaching people living in the most desperate situations.

Funds raised for the appeal will provide essential support to people who are on the streets:

• £500 pays for 10 winter sleeping bags when there is no other option for the night

• £1,000 helps our targeted outreach team to find and approach vulnerable people on the streets

• £2,000 pays for the daily running of our Crisis Service, a safe place to go for someone in a desperate and destitute situation

• £5,000 provides sustained support for 12 months to keep a roof over somebody’s head
