Story

Mahmoud - Although deaf at birth, Mahmoud, a 4-year-old boy, interacts with his three siblings, his mother and his father. He fills their life with joy, unaware of his health status. However, his parents are overwhelmed by fear and worry over the future of their deaf child. Mahmoud’s only chance to restore his hearing and speech capacity, is a Cochlear transplant, which costs 24 thousand U.S. dollars.

Hanane - A 14 year-old girl threatened by the risk of paralysis due to a severe spine scoliosis. She had to suspend her studies and her future is now hanging by the thread until further notice. A medical intervention may help her recover and resume normal life, but the surgery costs exceed her parents’ material capacity. Hanane’s critical condition requires an urgent surgery. The surgery costs 32 thousand U.S. dollars.

Mona - 36 years old and a mother of three. She suffers from epilepsy accompanied by recurrent seizures and pain. Her condition requires the implant of a device that prevents recurrent epilepsy seizures. Will Mona be able to take care of her children and see them grow up? Standing by her will give hope to her family. The surgery costs 20 thousand U.S. dollars.

Nurhane and Malak - Two sisters, one is eight and the other is five years old. Unfortunately, they both suffer from epilepsy and share the same pain. They are in dire need of an implant of a device that prevents recurrent epilepsy seizures. The surgery cost exceeds the parents’ material capacity and the girls’ fate is hanging in the balance. The surgery costs 20 thousand U.S. dollars for each child.
