Story
We really appreciate the generosity of people at Easter time– and all those yummy eggs!
But sometimes we get so much chocolate we think we might pop! Some children are unable to join in with the chocolate eating because of restricted diets, whereas others are nil by mouth because of treatment and surgery.
So this year, we’re asking people to consider an alternative donation:
Bunny money – Instead of buying us a chocolate egg, consider giving us a cash donation that we can use to offer activities and entertainment to improve the stay for our patients. This generous Easter gift will help us bring smiles across the Easter season and beyond.
Don’t worry though, the children staying in the hospital over Easter won’t be missing out on chocolate treats. We already have enough donations offered by supporters to ensure we have an Easter egg for every child who is able to eat one. This includes the hundreds of eggs we get on Easter Sunday for the Easter Egg Run, which will be going ahead as normal.
Still really want to give a chocolate egg? We will still accept donations of Easter eggs, but due to the number received, we cannot guarantee it will be given to a patient. Any surplus eggs will be sold and profits used to help support services in other ways.
