Run the River 2018

Organised by Teach First

How much your parents earn should't determine how much you achieve in life. But in the UK, it often does. Funds raised by Run the River are helping to give every child access to an excellent education

Our mission to end educational inequality drives everything we do. We seek, develop and support teachers and leaders who are determined to make a difference where it's needed most. We're fighting to make our education system work for every child.

Story

Who are Teach First?

All children deserve a brilliant education, regardless of their circumstances. But our education system provides the least support to those who need it most. That's why Teach First is dedicated to finding and developing great people to become inspiring teachers and leaders in schools serving disadvantaged communities. We rely on fundraising and donations to develop programmes and opportunities to support our teachers – and their pupils – to truly smash the class ceiling. Because when schools and communities are empowered to succeed, so are its young people.

How Run the River helps

Since 2014, over 10,000 runners have taken part in Teach First's flagship event on the banks of the River Thames in London, raising hundreds of thousands of pounds to support the education of some of the country's poorest children. By fundraising on top of your registration fee, you’ll help us get there even sooner.
