In our 40th anniversary year we are appealing for your support to ensure that theatres have a viable future.

The money raised from this campaign will go towards providing advice and support relating to theatres’ viability, and where appropriate, to help fund viability studies for theatres in need and at risk. Viability studies provide confirmation as to the feasibility and sustainability of a proposal, a valuable document to have when applying for funding.

In 2015 Theatres Trust helped to commission and pay for an independently prepared viability study to look at the future use of our top theatre at risk, Brighton Hippodrome. This study gave Brighton Hippodrome CIC the necessary supporting information for successful funding applications to the Heritage Lottery Fund and the Coastal Communities Fund.

This year we hope to raise £5,000 to help more theatres determine a viable future.
