Story
Richmond Park is a National Nature Reserve under threat from ever increasing visitor pressures.
Most visitors love the park and act accordingly but some cause inadvertent damage. Barbecues, litter, uncontrolled dogs, disturbance of food sources like rotting timber and other ill informed actions are slowly eroding the unique biodiversity.
We have detailed planning permission for a visitor centre on derelict land at Pembroke Lodge. Working with The Royal Parks and The Friends of Richmond Park, the visitor centre will:
• show people the unseen biodiversity
• reveal four centuries of hidden heritage
• show people what they can do to help the park
• enlighten people about actions to avoid
• be a hub for volunteer work
• raise funds for conservation projects
Our vision is to preserve the park for this and future generations.
