Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhuSHADE is a UK registered not-for-profit charitable umbrella organisation. It runs various projects which include Al Rawda, The Shade Centre as well as many other projects.

 Some of our projects and activities are mentioned here: 

 -  The Shade Centre is our community initiative which caters for the social, health, recreational and spiritual needs of the community. We run various activities including an Sunnah Archery club, Martial Arts for Kids & Adults, Ladies Fitness Classes, Over 50's Tea club, Friday Jumuah,  Tarawih Prayers, Eid Prayers Outdoors where thousand of people take part.

 -  Al Rawda is our banner for Islamic education and has various departments catering for the spiritual and educational needs of the Muslim community. Our services include a higher educational Islamic Institute offering the 'sacred 'Alimiyya Islamic scholarship for women (Jamia Al Rawda). Alhamdulillah we've had 4 batches of graduates (almost 50 'Alimat) who are now teaching and serving the deen in their own areas. Alongside this we have a registered college (Rawda College) where they can gain accredited internationally recognized qualifications on teaching and the social sciences. We wish to open a Girls' college delivering A Levels in September inshaAllah.

 We also have a childrens' maktab department (Madrasa Al Rawda), which offers weekday and weekend Qur'anic school with a high standards and emphasis on character development. 

 Whilst we are a not-for-profit organisation, we operate using a professional business model whereby we run initiatives and invest to help generate income to make the organisation self-sustaining.
