The Unicorn School is a specialist day school for girls and boys aged 6 to 14 years, who have dyslexia, dyscalculia, dyspraxia or who need support with speech and language.
We are raising funds to build an extra outside building to be used as a Social Emotional Mental Health (SEMH) Hub which will provide a dedicated space for our Emotional Learning Support Assistant (ELSA). It will also provide a quiet space for those children who need it as well as giving us the opportunity to offer more activities such as Play Therapy and Art Therapy.
To raise funds for the school, three members of staff, a past pupil and a governor are attempting to climb the tallest mountains in Scotland, England and Wales over the Whitsun Bank Holiday Weekend at the end of May. Mr Day, the Head, will be accompanied by Ms Chappelle and Mrs Lowe from school whilst former pupil Luke Strivens and his father Andrew Strivens will also join them as they attempt to climb these peaks.
