Story
The Thorne Mason Trust provide complementary brain tumour and cancer support across Pembrokeshire and have launched this campaign, which will run throughout March 2017 to raise brain tumour awareness in the local area and help raise vital funds to support local people affected by a brain tumour.
March is Brain Tumour Awareness Month, a national annual campaign involving hundreds of organisations, to highlight the importance of brain tumour awareness, support and research. We are really proud to be supporting this campaign.
Why is raising awareness so important?
The effects of a brain tumour, not just on individuals but also their families, friends and carers, are very often hidden and misunderstood, and can be devastating. Public and local awareness of this is vital to achieve greater understanding and support.
Every month the Thorne Mason Trust receive more requests for help, and we want to be able to ensure that we can provide the best possible range of support across Pembrokeshire for those who need it. For that of course we need support ourselves as our charity is run entity by volunteers and relies solely on income raised through fundraising and private donations. Please help us increase levels of awareness, understanding and support across the county so that no-one has to feel that they are alone when faced with a brain tumour diagnosis.
