tiata fahodzi (pronounced tee-ah-ta fa-hoon-zi) champions stories that illuminate the mixed, multiple experience of what it is to be of African heritage in multicultural Britain today so that – in our contemporary, changing society – the African diasporic experience provides a lens for us all to see our lives.
We’re committed to artists and audiences and - since 1997 - have launched the careers of actors and writers and brought new audiences to theatres nationwide. Last year, we completed the largest tour in the company’s history, bringing 23% first-time visitors. This year we’re at it again with the world premiere from acclaimed writer and performer Arinzé Kene about trying to grow up good.
We believe all audiences matter and we want to meet them wherever they are. Your donation will allow us to develop both artists and audiences as we support a team of emerging artists in devising and delivering new ways of engaging audiences who have been traditionally been left out.
