For £25 you can inspire a boy to have dreams beyond the slums and avoid a life of crime.

Organised by Tushinde

Tushinde is working to educate and train young boys to be positive role-models and to avoid a life of crime and day to day hustling. We support through education, boy's forums and mentorship.

Tushinde Children's Trust supports vulnerable children in Nairobi's informal settlements. These children have often lost one or both of their parents to HIV & are being brought up by kinship carers. In response, Tushinde runs the Family Support Programme; that nurtures and strengthens families.

Story

Many boys growing up with Tushinde support are from single parent families who have been through very difficult times. Quite often there is no father figure or any positive male role model. These boys have little self-worth and find themselves drawn to gangs for a sense of identity. With your £25 we can start a boy on a mentorship programme which includes support at school, 'Boy's days' and other tailored guidance.
