Thetford Grammar School is twinned with Hamar Jajab School, the first state school to be established in Mogadishu since the civil war. This relationship enables the pupils and staff of both schools to interact culturally and educationally, learning about one another's ways of life and building positive understandings. It also makes it possible for the Thetford Grammar School community to help the children of Hamar Jajab School in practical ways.
