Our Undergraduate Access Scholarships are awarded to students from disadvantaged backgrounds in Greater Manchester. Often, they are the first people in their families to study for a degree, and have attended schools where few students go on to higher education.

The 2018 Great Manchester Run is taking place on Sunday 20 May, two days before the first anniversary of the devastating Manchester Arena attack which killed 22 people. The run will be a show of strength and solidarity for the city and its people.  

We would like to offer as many students, staff and alumni as possible the opportunity to run and support the city on this important day. So we are inviting you to run in the Purple Wave free of charge, if you are able to raise sponsorship to support young people in Greater Manchester access a world-class University education regardless of their financial and social background.
