Like Olympic athletes, the children at Favela Brass music school in Pereira da Silva favela have been practising hard and fine-tuning their preparations for Rio 2016 all year.

And as the Games get under way, they are embarking on an Olympic marathon of their own: 16 shows in 16 days to celebrate Rio 2016. By taking on this ambitious objective, we hope to showcase our children's talents to a world audience and attract the kind of international attention that the project needs to continue its activities in the long term.

Please dig deep and give generously to help us provide music lessons for these amazing children. With your help, Favela Brass can be here to stay (wouldn't that be a nice Olympic legacy?)
