The Warwickshire and Coventry Historic Churches Trust gives grants to Warwickshire churches, chapels and meeting rooms to repair and restore them so that local communities and future generations can use and enjoy our architectural treasures. Every year in September we organise a Ride and Stride event where cyclists ride between churches to raise money for their local church and the Trust. Over recent years the funds raised from this annual event have decreased and we need to raise more money now so that we can continue funding vital repairs to as many churches as possible.
So for this summer 2018 we have organised an additional new and completely separate fundraising event – The Shakespeare Scenery Ride 2018. It takes place over the weekend of 30th June and 1st July and is a one- or two-day Heritage Ride around the beautiful Warwickshire countryside that Shakespeare knew and loved. The distances covered are 55 miles and 75 miles. Cyclists will stop off at churches and other places of historic interest and the Ride is fully supported by an experienced cycle event crew. Please help us to continue our work by sponsoring a cyclist for this event. Your support is very much appreciated.
