Wensleydale Rugby Club is a community club who offers rugby to Mini, Midi, Junior and Senior level.

Story

Last year a group of parents & coaches came up with an incredible idea that they could run the 234 miles from Wensleydale Rugby Club to Twickenham, carrying a rugby ball all the way to score a try.

10 runners will be participating in a relay run from Wensleydale to Twickenham over 4 days & Senior Player, Dave Piper, will run the entire distance in five days- all 234 miles! The culmination of their challenge will be running onto the hallowed turf at Twickenham at half-time of the England v Fiji International fixture on 19th November. The Club will also host a series of events over the week to enable every member to contribute their part to achieve the distance.

Our aim is to raise £50k. 10% of proceeds will go to Great North Air Ambulance- which has always provided an incredible service to the Club & surrounding community. The other donations will be spent on Phase 2 of the development of our Clubhouse which will see the remaining outdated facilities demolished and replaced.
