<p>Set up in memory of Bobby Moore, the Moore Family Foundation (MFF) programme was devised to engage with vulnerable young people in east London and Essex, with the aim of instilling and inspiring them with the six central values displayed by the 1966 FIFA World Cup-winning captain – courtesy, generosity, hard work, humbleness, respect for others and self-discipline. </p><p> </p><p>Over the last year, the programme delivery has been focused towards positively impacting a group of young people who are even more vulnerable and face a variety of personal challenges; children whose mainstream schooling broke down whether through ill-health, behaviour issues or other difficulties and, as a result of this, have become disengaged with education and feeling less than positive about themselves and their life chances.</p><p><p>Due to the pandemic the project’s physical delivery has come to a halt and the needs of beneficiaries have shifted, with participants and their families requiring support with aspects such as wellbeing assistance, acquisition of food and employability guidance. </p><p><p>The MFF team have been speaking regularly with beneficiaries, providing resources and working with local partners in order to develop additional networks of support in order to provide the most appropriate help </p>
