At Wildlife Aid we will always try to help any injured animal that is brought in, no matter how severe the damage is, if it can be fixed we will try! We currently do not have the means to carry out the operations here on site and are lucky enough to have specialist vet who will do the operations for us at a lower cost, which is fantastic! Unfortunately though it still costs us quite a lot of money and with us now having cancelled our biggest fundraiser of the year we are struggling to fund the surgery costs.
Our recent patients include a Canada goose with a broken wing and leg, a young little owl with a broken leg, a magpie with scissor beak and a buzzard with a broken wing. We have previously had badgers and foxes which have also required surgery and no doubt there will be more in the near future!
