The campaign has now expired but it's not too late to support this charity.
Visit the charity's profileBasket Brigade is an annual event in Norwich, inspired by Anthony Robbins; delivering unconditional kindness in the form of food hampers. It is a global initiative that has been running for over 30 years and feeds around three million people worldwide every Christmas.
It is a non-religious or faith based organisation. It is simply about kindness and contribution within the community. All items in the hamper are paid for by people and businesses kindly donating to the initiative, and volunteers giving their time.
Basket Brigade in Norwich was started in 2009. We are a small group of core volunteers who run the charity but we couldn't do this without the help of generous people and businesses who give time or money to make this happen. The charity does not employ staff so every penny goes to the costs of the magical baskets we create.
Last year, over 100 volunteers anonymously delivered over 100 Christmas food baskets across Norfolk to people and families who were facing difficulty. The message in each basket read:
“This basket comes to you from someone who cares about you. All we ask is that you take care of yourself well enough to be able to do this for someone else someday. A friend”.
