Visit the charity's profileThe Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge has been organised by the YCF and Pro Coach and the funds raised will go to the County Cricket Club’s charity,
The Yorkshire Cricket Foundation, directing funds towards inspiring women and girls to get into the sport of cricket!
This event will take place on Saturday the 2nd of April 2016 with 22 participants taking on the challenge!
The Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge takes on the peaks of Pen-y-ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough, usually in this order, and in under 12hours. These peaks form part of the Pennine range, and encircle the head of the valley of the River Ribble, in the Yorkshire Dales National Park. In total the walk is around 24.5 miles.
The walk will be starting at Horton in Riddlesdale at 6.30am and planning on finishing 12 hours later at 6.30pm. Essentially this will be like walking a marathon with 3 large peaks to encounter in between the start and the finish. Let's hope the weather holds out!
