Story
Hedgehogs have always been a familiar and well-loved visitor to our gardens, snuffling in the hedgerows and scurrying across the back lawn, but can you remember the last time you saw one?
Hedgehogs are in trouble and there are now thought to be less than one million left in the UK. Their natural habitat is being lost due to an increase in roads, housing and fencing. Gardens are being dug up and the insecticides we use also contribute to our lovable and iconic hedgehogs seeing the worst decline in numbers since records began.
By making a donation to Yorkshire Wildlife Trust you will be helping to save our hedgehogs. I’m sure you’ll agree that seeing a hedgehog is magical - please help us to ensure their survival this winter.
£15 will enable us to manage one hectare of haymeadow
