Story

Read for pleasure, read for fun, read in the rain or read in the sun!

Bear Hunt, Chocolate Cake and Bad Things was amazing, it inspired, engaged and excited children and families. To celebrate this we want everyone to sit together on a Bookbench; spending quality time, sharing stories and making memories.

The bench, in the shape of a giant book for people to sit in, will be decorated just like the stories from Z-arts favourite children’s author Michael Rosen.

A survey in Manchester has recently reported that only 38.7% of children and young people read outside class every day and almost a third (32.8%) only read when they have to.

Help us to buy a BookBenche to encourage reading, so young people from Hulme can be inspired and change the world.

Thank you, you are fantastic!
