Story

I had originally planned to run the mini marathon and aimed to set a new 10k record for myself. However, after breaking my fibula, and a surgery to stabalise my ankle, right now my aim and motivation is just to be fit and able enough to walk the 10k in June. And my mam, Eileen, is joining in support too, to walk alongside and encourage me.

For extra motivation for myself, I have decided to raise money for Amnesty Ireland at the same time. Amnesty International fight for human rights around the world, and Amnesty Ireland are campaigning to better the lives of women and girls in Ireland, particularly with the "She is Not a Criminal" campaign.

We have paid the race entry fee ourselves, and will make a donation as well, and am hoping some others will support a good cause and provide me with additional motivation (and pressure!) to reach the goal.

If you can, please support.

Thanks,
Cara and Eileen
