Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Every August Bank Holiday Sunday, Mick and Malc Collins have a Cricket Match and Darts competition. This year they have also added a Zumba session which takes place on the Wednesday 24th August.
They are raising money for a charity close to their hearts - The Marfan Trust. Mick's son Benn, now 18 years old, was diagnosed with Marfan Syndrome at the age of 8 months. He has had numerous operations throughout his life and faces many more. Life expectancy has increased since he was born due to research and development. It was 40 years, but is now a lot higher. Benn suffers daily with pain, but he never complains.
Awareness of this condition needs to be raised, as many people have never heard of it.
Please help the Collins brothers to reach their target by attending one of the events or by just giving what you can through this page. Thank you.
The Marfan Trust charity funds medical research into Marfan syndrome. Marfan syndrome is a genetic disorder that affects the body's connective tissue. Connective tissue holds all the body's cells, organs and tissue together. It also plays an important role in helping the body grow and develop properly.
With your help, we can raise money and awareness to support the Marfan Trust.
