Story
As part of the Sport Relief event the BBC are running in March, one of the strands they’ve got going for money-raising opportunities is the above-mentioned ‘Shirt of Hurt’.
Basically this involves – for a SUBSTANTIAL (!) amount of sponsorship money – a devout fan of a club putting on, and being photographed in, a football shirt of their rival club.
For those that aren’t clear on the seriousness of this, just ask someone who supports a club if they’d normally ever be seen dead in the shirt of their rivals and see what response you get…
Now, being a lifelong and massive Bristol City fan my natural selection would be a Bristol Rovers shirt, but seeing as I get so much stick living on this side of the bridge for being a) English, and b) a Wurzel, then I thought I’d probably get more money by choosing the horrible, bright blue and yellow monstrosity that is the Cardiff City home kit. It's going well so far with plenty of pledges in work so thanks all for your support, and
Please please pledge BIG for Sport Relief!!
