We’ve been improving the lives of those who work or have worked at sea, and their families, for over 100 years. Established in 1917 as The King George's Fund for Sailors, to support the families of seafarers lost at sea during World War One, we support seafarers throughout their career and beyond.

Story

Thank you for visiting the Carisbrooke Shipping Ltd fundraising page.  Please dig deep and sponsor us online.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor us: Seafarers UK will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

Your generous donation is part of our fundraising efforts for the Lloyd's Register 24 Peaks Challenge in support of of Seafarers UK.  Between the 20th and 21st May 2006, the Carisbrooke team is challenging members to climb 24 Lake District Peaks in 24 hours (including the highest mountain in England).  Not tough enough? We also have to raise at least £5,000 per team (2 teams entered !) which will help change the lives of British seafarers.

This is probably one of the most demanding mountain events ever organised as a charity challenge. The landscape is beautiful but very rugged, and every one of the 24 peaks is over 2,400 feet.  We've got what it takes to get us through this challenge, but we need your help to raise money for the Charity.

Please help us help the seafarers and please be generous and sponsor us now!

Many thanks for your very kind support.
