Life After Loss is a charity set up to help those who have experienced the devastating loss of a baby, either during pregnancy or early in life. We hold regular memorial events, provide memory books and boxes to hospitals, run a number of local support groups, and much more.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. I  am just tryin 2 raise a bit of money for an extremely good cause.......Life After Loss

Life After Loss is an online support community set up in November 2006 by bereaved mothers who found support and friendship through sharing their grief over the loss of a baby.

Life After Loss is for anyone who is affected by the loss of a baby, at any stage of pregnancy or after birth.  This kind of loss is simply devastating, and often misunderstood by those who have not been through it themselves.

The focus of this site, as its name suggests, is to help people to 'pick up the pieces' and somehow continue with life.  At times this is not easy, but with each other as support, these woman aim to show that it is possible to go on.  Life will never be the same again, but it can be bearable, and with time you can learn to live again and even smile again.

I lost my precious son Zach aged just 6 months & 10 days old in March 2008 to the horrendous disease meningococcal septicaemia and my life will never be the same again. I am blessed though with a beautiful daughter & lovingfamily & friends who have seen me through some pretty trying times.  I found Life After Loss by chance browsing online after Zach died, searching for some sort of support and have never looked back, at times it has been a life line to me. I would urge people to donate to this very special charity as babyloss is more common than you think and without support like this, some families feel the stress is just too much. It's having someone to talk to that knows exactly what you're feeling that makes it different than other support groups or charities.

I will be doing a number of events this year, I'll add to this as & when details are confirmed but lined up for this year so far is the 9 mile walk on 3rd May (Belfast Marathon) & there was also the Zach Moore Menorial Cup which is organised bvy Crown Defenders Web Forum annually now, this being the 2nd yr of it.  So, come on, give us a little support.......
