Ride London 100 · 4 August 2013 ·

Imperial Health Charity helps their hospitals do more through grants, arts, volunteering and fundraising. They fund major redevelopments, research and medical equipment as well as helping patients and their families at times of extreme financial difficulty.

Story

On Sunday 4 August I will be taking part in the inaugural ‘Ride London - Surrey 100’ cycle ride which covers the London 2012 Olympic road race course from the Olympic Park to the Surrey Hills and back, finishing on the Mall. Me and 20,000 others!

In addition to being a personal challenge I would like to help raise money to support the amazing work the paediatric team at St Mary’s Hospital in Paddington, in collaboration with the Westminster Child Development team, do in caring for children including those with developmental delay, like my gorgeous godson Sandy, and in so doing help to make a difference to young lives.

The children and young people who come to St Mary's Hospital have a variety of conditions and health needs with many spending very long periods of time in hospital throughout the year. Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to Imperial College Healthcare Charity (fund 5055). So it’s the most efficient way to donate.

Thank you for your support.
