Story
Hello, thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Wow I managed to finish it!!!!!
Emotional tears at the end, this has been by far the hardest challenge I've undertaken, feet wrecked, body exhausted and mentally as stupid as ever!!! Started out in Richmond Surrey on Saturday at 8.40am and walked over the finish line at Brighton racecourse on Sunday at 5pm, so glad to have made it.
A massive thank you to everyone for your overwhelming support and donations, I couldn't have done it without you and we have raised a tremendous amount for the Hospice, fantastic.
Love you all,
Carl
On May 28th I will be attempting the challenge of walking from London to Brighton on behalf of the Woking and Sam Beare Hospice, it's only 66miles/100km Ahh Ohh!!
The training has been harder than I thought and unfortunately a rather painful foot injury is hampering my efforts but I will try my best. I am determined, committed and a bit stupid so hopefully this will take me quite a long way on the journey!! I may not manage to complete the challenge but here's to giving it a good go.
As most will know the Hospice is very close to my heart for all the support they have given to my family during some very difficult times. The palliative care they supplied to my wife during her fight with cancer was just so fantastic. I would like to try and give a little bit back by setting off on this challenge and hope I could maybe raise some donation funds with the help of friends and family. If you could help with a small donation to the Hospice that would be fantastic.
Thank you once again for your donations and they will go directly to the Hospice.
Best wishes,
Carl.
