We are (former) colleagues at the Department of Spanish and Portuguese turned pub buddies turned running buddies and co-fundraisers. We are gearing up to run Cambridge half marathon in March and we are fundraising for the life-changing services offered by Cambridge Rape Crisis Centre (CRCC). The services offered by CRCC are a lifeline for many survivors of sexual violence and supporters of survivors. Like so many vital organisations in the UK today, CRCC depends on donations to keep their services running.

None of us would really consider ourselves runners, as such, but here we are, gearing up for our first half marathon. Maite’s training thus far has mainly involved lying in hammocks, Caroline has made it through some encounters with stationary objects, Natasha almost escaped to London, but decided to stay, in part as she couldn’t imagine training alone! We are now embarking on an intense training regime… look out for us running along the Cam come rain or shine over the next few months!
