We support people with Spinal Cord Injury to help them live full, independent lives

Story

Despite the fact I swim like a spanner and am very out of shape, we are taking on the Aspire Channel Swim 2016, swimming the distance of the Channel over 12 weeks to raise money for Aspire. Every eight hours someone is paralysed by a spinal cord Injury and Aspire provides the essential equipment, advice, housing and grants that spinal cord injured people need to live their lives independently.

My husband and Ella's dad John ran the London Marathon for Aspire in 1999, so it's a lovely continuation. We plan to split the distance of 112 lengths a week - so 66 each or pick up the slack for each other if needed.

This is a big challenge, but the more we raise, the more of a difference we'll make, so please be generous!
