Anyone who knows me knows I am passionate about this cause and our Charity as I know first-hand what a difference our support makes to adults and children experiencing domestic abuse. Debbie and I are getting our running shoes on to raise awareness and funds for the telephone helpline.

Many years ago when I was needing support there was nobody to help me apart from friends and family - which were amazing, but I so wish Dash had been around at the time. I had nobody who really understood what it was like to be in my shoes, and that period in my life was, like many other women, the hardest time in my life. Luckily I made it through and have gone on to help other people in similar situations, and my mission is to ensure that everyone gets the help they need when they need it.

The Dash Charity are our only local specialist charity to support anyone experiencing domestic abuse. They urgently need funds to ensure that the helpline can remain open and answer  the  800 plus calls they receive each year, from those who need confidential help and advice. It is so important that anyone experiencing domestic abuse gets professional help, so they no longer feel alone on their journey, make the right decisions and  are empowered towards a safer life free from abuse.
