Story
What are we raising money for?
During the trip we want to run, and pay for, a residential for child headed households.
Tragically in Basotho, thousands of children have lost their parents to AIDS. When this happens , the eldest child is duty bound to care and provide for their younger brothers and sisters. Theses young family groups are known as Child-Headed Households (CHH).
An outdoor adventure camp run by LINK (a partnership between the Dioceses of Lesotho and Durham) provides respite care for 16 and 17 year olds children from CHH, living with the heavy responsibility of parenting.
In January we will assist with the camp, organising activities such as canoeing, climbing and abseiling! we will also share bible stories, helping the children to understand more about the depth of God's love. Each child is given the chance to be a child again!
These children need your support. it costs just £90 for a sibling group to attend the camp. Will you enable theses children to receive the help they desperately need?

I've never had the opportunity to go abroad. For my first time leaving this country and I get this amazing opportunity to serve God in doing missionary work, I am very grateful for the donations and for Rock UK for giving us this incredible experience!

When I was really young, I heard stories from my Dad about missionaries sharing God with people in Africa. It became the first "career" I ever wanted and now I feel as though I am getting the chance to fulfil that dream! I know that this trip will really impact me and I feel incredibly blessed to be able to go and help these kids.

A few years ago I was a missionary for two and a half years in Cambodia. I really miss it so I can't wait to be a part of missionary work again. I can't wait to help the kids and experience their joy!

I want these children to know that the kingdom of heaven belongs to them and I want to be a part of removing the barriers that hinder them from coming to Jesus. I can't wait to see the Joy on their faces!
