Sam's Story:

Occupation: Wildlife biologist.

As a wildlife biologist with twenty years experience working in Africa, I have seen first-hand the poverty and hardship that children face living in some parts of Africa. Sumbandila occupies a special place in my heart knowing the founder and the region very well. It is incredible to see kids so hungry to learn and to further themselves, even at such young ages. Many have faced the loss of both parents to AIDS, and some are the main breadwinners in the house. I would attempt nearly anything to raise funds for such a deserving cause, and Cash & Rocket presented me with just the challenge!

Sophie's Story:

Occupation: Specialist painter and Mum of three.

Life has been going at such a pace with children, work and building their future; this is a perfect time to stop, take stock, and raise money for this incredible cause. I am honoured to take part and grateful for the opportunity that in this small way I can help the children of Shine on Sierra Leone, OrphanAid Africa and Sumbandila, and learn more of their amazing goals which that have achieved against the odds. I will relish the challenge, and I am so excited to be part of an all female team sharing the same goals!
