Story

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.

08.05.09 WE HIT THE TARGET - THANKS ROB !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks to everyone who has supported me and sponsored me. Since I started training it has been a great experience with far more highs than lows. I have stopped collecting cash and cheque donoations and am sending these funds off, £743.00, to Kith and Kids today, 09.05.09,. This site will contue to accept donations until 26th July 2009, if you want to add to the total, time is running out, so JUST DO IT!

I've always watched the London Marathon and wondered how it must feel to be part of and complete such an awe inspiring event.

So in my 40th year I aim to help Kith and Kids celebrate their 40th year by participating in the 2009 Flora London Marathon and raise £1500.00 or more - (the total's up to you, I just have to run it!!)

Update 25.03.09: Well just about 1 month to go, and the training continues.  I would like to thank Steve, my husband and Tracy my bestest friend for their devoted support over the winter months, both cycling behind me and generally driving me along when the going gets tough.  Also Catherine Wass my trainer without her guidance and support I know I'd be lost and Ed the Physio, even though it hurt alot he straightend me out- literally!  Also thank you to everyone who has asked me how I'm getting on and continues to patiently listen to my experiences - it'll be over soon!

THANK YOU XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

WHAT A DAY.  Sunday the 26th was a day I will never forget.  I cannot explain what a thrill it was to run the London Marathon, and yes I managed to complete it! By my stop watch in 5 hours 10 mins and 47 seconds!

I came in 31,643rd overall, I was the 9,141st woman and in my age group 5,785th!

THANK YOU to all my family and friends for their support and donations since October and especially to the thousands of people who cheered and carried me along my way.  People always say how magnificent the crowd is, and it really is something you have to experience for yourself!

GOOD NEWS, with a few more donations to be added, we hit the £1500.00 mark!

Once again   XXXXXXX THANK YOU XXXXXX

1. Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Kith and Kids gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation. Click on the button at the bottom of the page.

Cheque and cash donoations will be entered onto an Events Sponsorship Form, so don't forget to tick the "giftaid" box if you are a UK taxpayer!  I'll keep a running (pardon the pun) total on this site of cash and cheque donations received.

26.2 miles is a long way,  please donate today. Thank you, Catherine x 07516 400345
