I did it!!! (and have the medal to prove it!!)

Last Sunday was a beautifully sunny day and weather conditions were perfect for completing the Great North Run half marathon. Despite arriving almost two hours before the start of the race I still managed to almost miss the start of the race - as I was too busy queueing for the loos (why is that not surprising?!), but all was well and I ducked into my 'pen' just minutes before the start gun.

It was a hilly run, but support was fantastic along the course and I even managed to get my PB for a half marathon - coming in at 1 hour and 47 minutes.
