Cavendish Cancer Care is a charity dedicated to improving the quality of life for people living with cancer. No one should face cancer alone, so we provide emotional support through counselling and complementary therapies. Our services are provided free of charge and are funded through donations.

Story

Thank you everyone for all your support, and welcome to people who read about me in the Sheffield Star.  I ran the London Marathon in 4 hours 30 minutes! This fundraising page is still open for donations.

My father, Keith Lawrie, was diagnosed with breast cancer nearly 5 years ago. Only 300 men are diagnosed each year. For my father the diagnosis was a shock and the journey ahead seemed like a marathon, but with the help of the Cavendish Centre he is back at work and enjoying family life.

"The Cavendish have been very helpful to me. I was needle phobic and I had treatment to help with cope with it. I didn't have much time before I went into hospital but they fitted me in for a session."

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Cavendish Centre will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

Many thanks for your support.!
