BUPA Great North Run 2013 · 15 September 2013 ·

Far too many of us have felt the pain of losing someone we love. With your donations, we power groundbreaking cardiovascular research to save and improve lives, bring hope to families, and keep hearts beating across the UK.

Story

I'm running the great north run for the British Heart Foundation as I believe that the research they undertake makes such a huge difference to so many people and it is a challenge I'm willing to take on for such a good cause!

My grandma Betty and my uncle Ian both had heart valves replaced through open heart surgery. My grandma was one of the first people in the UK to undergo and survive three operations and was so determined to live a full and active life. So if you have a heart, give generously and help others to have a long and good quality life.

Coronary heart disease is the UK's single biggest killer, so I want to raise awareness and support the fight against heart and circulatory conditions.
