Story

Football mums and best running buddies Nic and Ang are running Tough Mudder to raise money for the Tameside & Glossop NHS Scanner Appeal on Saturday 31 July.

Brought together having sons who play for Stalybridge Celtic Juniors, they want to raise funds for the scanner appeal after Nic's son George spent several weeks in a serious condition in Tameside Hospital earlier this year.

Parents from Stalybridge Celtic Juniors Under 9s Blues & Whites teams came together to help the family by preparing meals for them to heat up as mum Nic and dad Dave took it in shifts to sit with George at the hospital.

Thankfully, George is now on the road to recovery and the care he received at Tameside Hospital was second to none. Nic and Ang want to raise as much as they can to support the hospital's scanner appeal so that children in the future can have quick access to this life-saving equipment.
