Story

The Centre for Medicine Appeal has been launched to raise £10million to complete and equip the six-storey Centre for Medicine with an amazing £1.6 million already being raised. The Centre will transform the training of tomorrow’s doctors and speed the translation of research for the benefit of communities locally and across the UK.

The £42million Centre for Medicine which will be the largest investment in medical teaching and applied research by a UK University in the last decade. It will unite our leading academics and researchers, currently spread across multiple sites in the city, with medical students for the first time in a unique state-of-the-art ‘hub’. Together they will be able to combat the major chronic diseases and improve patient care whilst training the doctors of tomorrow.
