Cerddwn Ymlaen / Walk On for Wales Air Ambulance · 13 July 2013 to 20 July 2013 ·

The Wales Air Ambulance Charity provides advanced life-saving emergency care for everyone in Wales, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. We are a ‘mobile emergency department’ that relies entirely on donations to keep our helicopters in the air and rapid response vehicles on the road.

Story

Since Sarra Elgan first hit our TV screens on a popular Welsh soap opera back in 1999 she has carved herself a hugely successful career in broadcast across both sport and entertainment. As one of a few presenters to have transitioned from acting to entertainment to sport, Sarra has recently been named to present BT Sport\'s coverage of the Aviva Premiership alongside Lawrence Dallaglio, Austin Healey, Martin Bayfield, Ben Kay and Matt Dawson. She has spent the last 3 years covering Espn\'s Live rugby including their highlights programmes. She is also the face of one of Wales\' highest rating chat shows, \'Jonathan\', on S4C, a rugby show with rugby legend Jonathan Davies and top referee Nigel Owens, furthering her already popular personality within the rugby market. After graduating with a first class honours degree in Theatre, Music and Media in 1999 Sarra got her first break in TV as a main character in the popular Welsh soap opera Pobol Y Cwm. During her run in the soap she was headhunted to present The Wrap for BBC Wales, Passion for Fashion for HTV, Planed Plant - a children\'s programme for S4C - and Popty, a magazine music show where she interviewed bands and guests. Sarra also presents the LV cup and The British and Irish Cup and was recently the pitch-side reporter for Clwb Rygbi on S4C. A lover of all sport and music, she has been the presenter for Wakestock (shown on both S4C and Channel 4), as well as the \'Cardiff Half Marathon\'/ \'Hanner Marathon Caerdydd\' for the last 3 years running. In addition to all her television credits Sarra has hosted her own radio show for BBC Radio Wales and Red Dragon and has co-hosted the breakfast show on Radio Cymru (Radio Wales) in Cardiff.
